COHAUSZ DAWIDOWICZ HANNIG &
SOZIEN (CDHS) is one of the few German firms of attorneys
where patent attorneys of all major technical fields work together. The
philosophy behind this single-source service is to enable comprehensive
advice and support to medium-sized and large business enterprises in
all their scientific and legal concerns in accordance with their
requirements. This approach shortens the often complicated
communication pathways between company employees and patent attorney,
is a much more effective in respect of cost and time and minimizes
misunderstandings in information transfer. The expert for the specific
problem is always called in to deal with the task in hand in close
cooperation with his partners (door-to-door communication). With
graduate engineers from different fields, mechanical and electrical
engineering, industrial chemists and physicists, patent attorneys are
available for all fields of technical/scientific consultation as well
as for legal advice in the field of industrial property right
protection.
As part of innovation management, companies are advised and aided in
organizing, structuring and creating basic conditions for innovative
work by a program specifically designed for this purpose. Company
departments and especially employees working in the innovative field
are also trained and prepared specifically for their duties. Within an
overall framework, educational activities and lectures serve to provide
information on current issues in the protection of industrial property,
R&D, and information procurement and exploitation.
CDHS has offices in Düsseldorf, as
well as in Munich, Berlin, and Paris. Through its Munich and Berlin
offices, direct contacts exist with the German Patent and Trade Mark
Office and the European Patent Office, which are in the immediate
vicinity. All CDHS patent attorneys are admitted at
the European Patent Office.
CDHS is a member of the EUPAT Attorney's
Association E.E.I.G. and maintains close contacts with numerous patent
and law firms worldwide.
