1) the average costs refer to a patent application with average degree of difficulty and invested time and with an extent of 8 sides of description and ten claims.

4) with (without) Prüfung
5) no search request
6) without national validation. Validation will lead to additional costs per country (not DE, GB, FR und CH) between 1500 to 2500 Euro for translation and professional services in the respective country (without renewal fees)
7) renewal fees only in national phases
8) in the national phase additional costs arise per county being similar to those of individual national application. However, some countries offer reductions of national official fees if a request for examination was filed within the international phase (Chapter II PCT)
