Costs are divided into
Offical fees
and
Attorney's fees
1) Costs depend on individual fees fixed by the members states of the Madrid Protocol.
2) Oppositions has to be lodged country by country. Costs and terms are
subject to national legislation. For EU, GB, CH part of costs must be
paid by the losing party,
3) Minimal costs, additional costs depending on the time
spent of preparing correspondence on objections / rejections and so on
with the Patent Office.
4) The following may be selected under the Madrid Agreement:

Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus,
Czech Republic, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Egypt, France,
Germany, Hungary, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya,
Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lesotho, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg*,
Monaco, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands*, Poland,
Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino,
Serbia, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Swaziland,
Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, The former Yugoslav
Republic of Macedonia, Ukraine, Viet Nam. *selected as one Country: BX
5) The following countries are members of the Madrid Protocol only with costs being considerably higher:
Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Botswana, Bahrein, Denmark, Estonia,
European Community, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Japan,
Lithuania, Netherlands - Antilles, Madagascar, Norway, Republic of
Korea, Oman, Singapore, Sao Tome und Principe, Sweden, Turkey,
Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, the US, Uzbekistan, Zambia;
6) The following countries are members of the European Community:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania,
Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden,
